Ajit Parandekar Joins WFB Baird As Vice President – Operations
Ajit Parandekar has joined WFB Baird & Company (India) Pvt. Ltd. as Vice President – Operations, where he will oversee operations at the company’s Cochin and SIPCOT units. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening operational excellence, process efficiency, quality systems, team development and sustainable growth initiatives across the facilities.
Parandekar brings more than three decades of experience in the textile industry, having worked across weaving, technical textiles, linen fabrics, supply chain management, and manufacturing operations with several leading textile companies in India.
Before joining WFB Baird, he served as Assistant Vice President at Grasim Industries Ltd – Domestic Textiles, where he was responsible for linen fabric manufacturing operations at Jaya Shree Textiles. During his eight-year stint with the company, he also held leadership roles including Senior General Manager – Head Linen Fabric Operations, General Manager – Operations, and General Manager – SCM.
Earlier in his career, Parandekar held senior positions at Reliance Industries Ltd, Trident Group, Donear Industries Ltd, Welspun Group, Aditya Birla Group, Morarjee Textiles Ltd and Raymond Ltd.
Throughout his career, he has led large-scale textile manufacturing operations spanning weaving, terry towels, suiting fabrics, technical textiles, sourcing and production planning, contributing to operational improvements and capacity expansion initiatives across multiple organizations.
