Barmag, Hitech Partner To Automate Doffing On Texturing Machines
Barmag (Suzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. has entered into an exclusive partnership with India-based Hitech Automation Solutions Pvt. Ltd. to jointly market Hitech’s Doffmatic auto-doffing system for Barmag’s eFK texturing machines.
The collaboration aims to help texturing manufacturers improve productivity, yarn quality and process consistency by reducing dependence on manual doffing operations, which can often lead to higher waste levels, quality variations and operational inefficiencies.
Under the agreement, the companies will offer the solution for both new machine installations and retrofit projects. New machines equipped with the automation technology will be marketed as eFK Doffmatic, while existing Barmag machines can be upgraded with the Doffmatic system as part of modernization initiatives.
Designed as an add-on solution, Doffmatic can be integrated into eFK texturing machines without requiring additional floor space. The system automates the doffing process while ensuring uniform bobbin lengths, a critical factor for maintaining consistent yarn quality and smooth downstream processing.
The partners position the solution as a cost-effective alternative between manual and fully automated texturing systems, offering customers a practical route to automation with relatively short payback periods.

Brij Patel, Managing Director of Hitech Automation Solutions, said the Doffmatic system was developed to provide seamless auto-doffing capabilities for both new and existing machines. “Together with Barmag, we are expanding our machine portfolio with a clear focus on customers’ operational requirements,” he said.
