Primark Opens 21st Store In Italy, Invests € 6 Million In Cremona

International fashion retailer Primark has opened its newest store at the Cremona Po Shopping Centre in Cremona, marking its 21st store in Italy and fifth in the Lombardy region. The company has invested € 6 million in the project, creating 100 new jobs.
The new store offers 2,000 square metres of retail space on a single level and features Primark’s full range of fashion, beauty, lifestyle and homeware products. Customers can shop seasonal collections, everyday essentials, the premium Edit range and the Paula Echevarria collaboration. The store includes six fitting rooms, one accessible changing area, six self-service checkouts and four traditional tills.
The opening takes Primark’s workforce in Italy to more than 5,000 employees. The retailer continues to support career development through its “Grow with Us” programme and partnerships with organisations such as Adecco Foundation, UNHCR, Seconda Chance and Special Olympics.
Luca Ciuffreda, Head of Primark Italy, said the opening strengthens the company’s presence in Lombardy and makes its affordable fashion offering more accessible to local customers.
Andrea Virgilio, Mayor of Cremona, welcomed the investment, noting that the creation of 100 jobs will contribute to the city’s economic and social development.
The Cremona store is part of Primark’s broader expansion strategy in Italy, which includes plans to open seven additional stores and establish its first Italian distribution depot in Alessandria. Primark currently operates 497 stores across 19 markets in Europe, the United States and the Middle East.
