Sandeep Dangi Joins MANTRA Research Advisory Committee
Textile industry professional Sandeep Dangi has joined the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of The Man-Made Textiles Research Association (MANTRA), Surat, as a member.
The association recognises Dangi’s more than three decades of experience in the man-made textile industry, with expertise spanning polyester filament yarns, yarn production and quality control, product development, plant utilisation and market development.
Dangi has extensive exposure to polyester filament yarns, including POY, FDY and PTY, as well as DTY and other texturised yarns. His career encompasses technical, manufacturing and commercial functions, beginning with production and quality-related roles and later extending to manufacturing, marketing, product development, plant operations and yarn trading.
Over the years, he has worked closely with key weaver customers across India, developed dealer networks, supported new-machine commissioning, worked on improving plant utilisation and coordinated production activities with marketing and quality functions.
According to MANTRA, Dangi’s experience of connecting industry requirements with research, technology development, product validation and market needs will be relevant to the objectives of the RAC. His role is expected to bring an industry perspective to discussions on research priorities, emerging market and technology requirements, and stronger collaboration between MANTRA, industry and academic institutions.
Dangi is currently Director of Adhunik Polytex Ltd., and Buzzhub Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., Surat. He is also associated with the textile industry through various professional and institutional activities and serves as Technical Editor of Textile Insights. He holds a B.E. in Textiles and an MBA in Marketing. He is a Fellow member of The Institution of Engineers and has served as Honorary Secretary of IEI, SGLC Mahida Bhawan, Surat.
Commenting on his association with MANTRA, Dangi said, “I am grateful to MANTRA management and honoured by the opportunity to contribute to MANTRA’s Research Advisory Committee. With my experience across polyester filament yarns, manufacturing, marketing and the wider textile value chain, I look forward to bringing practical industry perspectives to research priorities, technology development, product validation and industry–academia collaboration.”
His association with the RAC is expected to strengthen interaction between industry experience and research initiatives in man-made textiles, particularly in areas where technological developments need to be evaluated against practical manufacturing, market and application requirements.
