Italian Textile Machinery Firms Target Taiwan Market At TITAS 2026
Italian textile machinery manufacturers will showcase their technologies and customised solutions at TITAS 2026, scheduled to be held from October 6–8, 2026, in Taipei, as the industry seeks to strengthen its presence in Taiwan and the wider Asian market.
The participation, led by the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT), comes amid signs of renewed demand from Taiwan for Italian textile machinery. According to ACIMIT, exports of Italian textile machinery to Taiwan recorded a strong increase at the beginning of 2026, signalling renewed investment interest as the country’s textile industry undergoes a period of transformation.
Taiwan has traditionally maintained a strong presence in the upstream segments of the textile value chain. Italian machinery manufacturers see opportunities particularly in spinning, finishing machinery and related technologies, with manufacturers increasingly looking to diversify production and move towards higher value-added textile products.
ACIMIT said the ability of Italian machinery manufacturers to offer flexible and customised technologies is an important factor in the Taiwanese market. Machinery solutions that combine production flexibility, resource efficiency and product quality are expected to gain importance as textile manufacturers respond to changing market requirements and sustainability considerations.
“The strong increase in Taiwanese demand recorded at the beginning of this year demonstrates the central role played by our technological solutions. In a landscape where operational flexibility and environmental sustainability have become essential requirements for competitiveness, Italian companies are coming to TITAS not merely as machinery suppliers, but as genuine technology partners,” said Marco Salvadè, President, ACIMIT.
He added that Italian manufacturers were ready to support Taiwanese textile companies with customised technologies focused on resource efficiency and high-quality finished products.
The Italian Pavilion at TITAS 2026 will feature 11 companies covering various segments of textile machinery and technology. The exhibitors are Color Service, Corino, Crosta, Danitech, Fadis, Ferraro, L.A.I.P., Lafer, Pozzi Leopoldo, Reggiani Macchine and Texera.
ACIMIT’s participation at TITAS is aimed at strengthening the longstanding relationship between Italian machinery manufacturers and Taiwan’s textile industry, while creating opportunities for technology partnerships as Taiwanese producers modernise operations and explore higher-value textile applications.
