The number of MoUs increased from 3,900 in 2025 to 4,400, representing a 12.82% rise. The value of the MoUs increased substantially from Rs 2,680 crore to Rs 6,500 crore. Business enquiries also increased from an estimated Rs 12,500 crore to Rs 15,500 crore, a rise of around 24%.

International participation expanded significantly this year, with six partner countries Russia, Austria, Japan, Singapore, Belarus and Vietnam, participating in the trade show, compared with Russia alone in the previous edition. Foreign buyers and delegations showed interest in sectors including manufacturing, information technology, electronics, textiles and agri-food processing.

The event also provided a platform for products and enterprises from Uttar Pradesh’s 75 districts. The One District, One Cuisine (ODOC) initiative featured prominently, showcasing regional food products and culinary traditions to domestic and international visitors. The ODOC Hall hosted displays and activities around local food enterprises, while culinary master classes by celebrity chef Harpal Singh Sokhi and other chefs drew visitors during the event. The initiative highlighted opportunities across food processing, packaging, hospitality, tourism, branding and retail.

Traditional crafts, handloom products, brassware, carpets, leather products and agricultural goods were also showcased to international buyers, with MSMEs and artisans receiving opportunities to develop direct business relationships and orders.

The trade show was inaugurated on September 25 by Union Home Affairs and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The opening session focused on the state’s industrial development, infrastructure, MSME ecosystem, exports, ODOP and manufacturing capabilities.

Policy and knowledge sessions were held throughout the five-day event. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal participated in a FIEO session focused on leveraging India’s Free Trade Agreements for global business growth, while Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada participated in discussions on Uttar Pradesh’s electronics manufacturing and emerging semiconductor and advanced-technology ecosystem.

The event also brought together state ministers, policymakers, industry representatives and senior officials for discussions covering investment, exports, manufacturing and enterprise development. The concluding session was attended by Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh, who highlighted the role of infrastructure development, connectivity and industry-oriented policies in strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s business and export ecosystem.

The trade show also featured cultural programmes throughout the five days, including folk music, Kathak, devotional music, tribal dance, classical performances and contemporary music. Student participation added another dimension to the event, with activities including quizzes, Model United Nations, mime, art and culture programmes, cyber security and road safety awareness initiatives and a Battle of Bands.

With increased B2B engagement, international participation and business enquiries, UPITS 2026 concluded as a major platform connecting Uttar Pradesh’s MSMEs, manufacturers, artisans and exporters with domestic and international buyers.
