EcoEx Appoints Kapil Lakhwara As VP – Textile Sustainability & Global Partnerships
EcoEx has appointed Kapil Lakhwara as Vice President – Textile Sustainability & Global Partnerships, as the company looks to strengthen India’s textile waste-to-value ecosystem and advance circularity across the global textile industry.
Lakhwara brings extensive experience in textile business development, global partnerships, sales and marketing and sustainable materials. Before joining EcoEx, he was Head of Sales & Marketing – Home Textiles at Trident Group India, where he focused on international business expansion, strategic partnerships, branding and sustainable fibres and fabrics.
He previously served as Director – Global Business Development at Plastics For Change, leading strategic partnerships with global apparel brands for recycled polyester and sustainable fabrics.
Lakhwara also spent more than seven years at The LYCRA Company, working on downstream business development, brand and mill partnerships, strategic sales and circular polyester initiatives. Earlier in his career, he held business development roles at INVISTA, TenCate Protective Fabrics and Trident Group.
At EcoEx, his responsibilities include developing global partnerships, scaling India’s textile waste-to-value ecosystem, connecting brands, manufacturers and recyclers, and enabling startups through strategic capital, partnerships and market access.
The appointment comes amid growing industry efforts to strengthen textile waste collection, recycling and material traceability, while creating commercially viable pathways for textile circularity.
