IndigoTex Raises Rs 5 Crore To Scale Waterless Wool Textile Technology
IIT Delhi-originated deeptech textile startup IndigoTex Pvt Ltd has raised Rs 5 crore in a funding round led by IAN Angel Fund, with participation from SIDBI, FITT and IIT Delhi Angels.
Founded in 2024, the company is developing waterless wool finishing technology and wool-based fabrics, including IndiWool Denim, which combines the durability of denim with the comfort and thermal properties of wool.
IndigoTex will use the fresh funds to expand manufacturing, commercialise its products, strengthen research and development, secure certifications, hire talent and explore international markets.
The startup has established a textile finishing facility in Sonipat, Haryana, while continuing its research and development activities at IIT Delhi. Its waterless processing technology aims to advance more sustainable textile finishing practices, while its wool-based product development seeks to create new applications for the natural fibre.
