ABB India Contributes To Growth Of TN Textile & Garment Sector
ABB India, a technology company said it is actively contributing to the sustainable growth of Tamil Nadu and that its energy-efficient motor and drive solutions are playing a pivotal role in driving the transition towards a greener and more sustainable future.
In the textile industry, ABB has supplied over 3,000 energy-efficient motors and drives to spinning mills in Tamil Nadu, resulting in substantial energy savings of 20-35 percent compared to conventional systems.
“These motors and drives, deployed in applications such as humidification plants, pneumafil and compact suction fans, and ring frame machines, contribute to energy conservation and cost reduction.” ABB added.
According to ABB, its technology has also brought about increased productivity and improved quality in garment printing. In Tiruppur alone, 65 percent of knitwear garments printed on automatic machines, rely on ABB drives.
“The company’s innovative drives and motors are transforming various industries in the state, including textiles, garment printing, agriculture, mining, and construction,” Sanjeev Arora, President of Motion Business at ABB India also said.
“Through its expertise and cutting-edge technologies, ABB India is empowering these sectors to operate more efficiently, reduce their carbon footprint, and optimise resource utilization.” Arora too added.
