ACG Kinna Expands Operations After Record-Breaking Year

In response to surging demand for end-to-end textile automation solutions, ACG Kinna has inaugurated a 1,000-square-metre expansion at its headquarters in Skene. The company is a member of TMAS.

The newly added facility, directly connected to the existing site, will centralise operations by accommodating additional staff and creating dedicated space for specialised assembly. According to Sales and Marketing Manager Tomas Aspenskog, the decision to expand rather than relocate reflects the company’s long-term commitment to its Skene base. The move is expected to streamline logistics and enhance operational efficiency for both suppliers and customers.

ACG Kinna reported a record performance in 2025, driven by rising adoption of automation among manufacturers of pillows and duvets in the home furnishings sector. Under its ‘Complete Process – One Supplier’ approach, the company has developed fully integrated robotic production lines covering fibre handling, filling, sewing, digital quality control and packaging.

Alongside its core offerings, the company is expanding its footprint in the finished filter bag segment. It will showcase its latest innovations at Filtech 2026, scheduled to take place in Cologne from June 30 to July 2.

Aspenskog noted that ACG Kinna’s modular systems allow manufacturers to scale operations and adapt production lines quickly in response to changing demands. The company is witnessing strong market momentum, particularly across Europe and North America.

A part of the family-owned ACG Group since 2013, ACG Kinna has significantly broadened its capabilities through strategic acquisitions. These include Finland-based Nowo Machinery, known for its fibre processing systems, as well as Swedish firms EyeTech and Styrteknik Europe.

Commenting on the broader industry trend, Therese Premler-Andersson highlighted that automation is becoming essential amid rising costs, labour shortages and increasing demand for traceability and flexibility. She added that ACG Kinna’s expansion aligns with similar investments by TMAS members aimed at enabling advanced, high-efficiency textile production.

The latest development underscores the accelerating shift towards fully automated, scalable manufacturing solutions within the global textile industry.
