Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Appoints Jacob John As CEO Of Emerging Business
Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Ltd (ABLBL) has appointed Jacob John as Chief Executive Officer – Emerging Business, marking a key leadership move as the company sharpens its focus on new growth opportunities in India’s fashion and lifestyle market.
In his new role, Jacob will lead the development of emerging categories, new brand concepts and innovative retail formats, aligned with the group’s strategy to build the next generation of lifestyle brands.
Jacob brings over two decades of experience across brand building, retail strategy and business transformation. He has held senior leadership roles at Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, where he served as COO and Brand Director of Louis Philippe, one of India’s leading premium menswear brands. He later served as Deputy CEO at Landmark Group, gaining exposure to global retail operations across apparel and lifestyle segments.
Most recently, Jacob was CEO & Managing Director at Modenik Lifestyle Pvt Ltd, where he led the integration and growth of the merged Dixcy and Enamor businesses in the innerwear and essential wear segment. Prior to his current appointment, he was President – Premium Brands at Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the group’s premium lifestyle portfolio.
Jacob’s appointment highlights Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands’ intent to strengthen its presence in emerging and high-growth categories, including youth-focused fashion, contemporary lifestyle concepts and new retail formats, amid rapid shifts in consumer behaviour and digital influence.
