Arvind Appoints Rajarshi Ghosh As CEO Of Denim Business
Arvind Ltd., the textile-to-retail conglomerate and a pioneer in Indian denim, has appointed Rajarshi Ghosh as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Denim business. In this role, Ghosh will focus on driving profitable growth, strengthening customer partnerships, advancing digital adoption across the denim value chain and fostering a performance-led culture.
Welcoming him to the position, Punit Lalbhai, Vice Chairman, Arvind Ltd., said the appointment aligns with the company’s priorities for the denim portfolio as it builds on recent momentum. He noted that Ghosh’s sector expertise and execution capabilities will help enhance customer experience, accelerate digitisation and deepen a high-performance culture driven by ownership and outcomes.
Ghosh, who began his career at Arvind as a Management Trainee, called his return a meaningful milestone and said he looks forward to leveraging the company’s strong foundation to deliver sustainable growth powered by digital capability and disciplined execution.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the textile sector, Ghosh has led large-scale transformation across manufacturing, innovation and operations. Before rejoining Arvind, he served as COO at Jindal Worldwide Ltd., overseeing operations and supply chain across denim, shirting, and bottom-weight categories. He previously held leadership roles at Welspun, including President & Business Head at Welspun Living and SVP at Welspun Flooring, where he led business performance, greenfield expansions and productivity initiatives.
Ghosh holds an M.Tech in Textile Engineering from IIT Delhi and a B.Tech in Textile Technology from the University of Calcutta.
