Astounding Leap In Welpsun India’s Q1FY’24 Net Profit
Net profit at Welspun India, a major producer and exporter of home textiles leaped an astounding 957.68 percent year on year in the first fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2023.
In a BSE filing, Welsun said it clocked a net profit of Rs 155.48 crore in the previous quarter versus Rs 14.70 crore for the corresponding quarter of the earlier fiscal.
Sequentially, net profit was up 101.5 percent in the period under review vis-à-vis Rs 77.16 crore in the fourth quarter of fiscal ending March 31, 2023.
The Balkrishna Goenka led company posted total income from operations at Rs 1,702.27 crore in the in first quarter of fiscal 2024, up 23.25 percent as compared to Rs 1,381.14 crore during the first quarter of fiscal 2023.
