Avgol Unveils New High-Speed Nonwovens Production Line In Mocksville

Avgol, an Indorama Ventures company, has inaugurated its new high-speed, high-capacity multiple beam nonwovens production line at its Mocksville, NC facility. The milestone marks the successful completion of a US$ 100 million investment, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

Diego Boeri, Executive President of Indorama Ventures’ Fibres Segment, highlighted the significance of this development: “This is a great example of how close collaboration with industry leaders translates into market-driven innovation. Our team’s deep customer engagement enables us to deliver solutions that meet evolving demands in baby diaper, adult incontinence and feminine care industries.”

As part of the investment, Avgol has also installed a state-of-the-art 3-layer lamination line, expanding its nonwoven composite capabilities. The advanced system, equipped with precision temperature controls, high-speed bonding technology, and an integrated quality inspection system, enhances the production of lightweight, durable composites that meet the highest quality and performance standards.

Sivan Yedidsion, CEO of Avgol, emphasized the strategic importance of the expansion: “This investment is more than just an operational upgrade—it symbolizes our relentless pursuit of quality and innovation. Vipin Kumar, Chief Commercial Officer at Indorama Ventures, reiterated the company’s commitment to local supply chains: “This $100 million investment ensures we deliver ‘Made in America’ materials, reducing supply risks for our customers and reinforcing our long-term presence in the Americas region.”

The inauguration event, attended by industry leaders, partners and key stakeholders, featured live demonstrations of the new line’s capabilities. Avgol expects the expanded production capacity to enhance efficiency, drive product innovation and strengthen its market leadership in nonwoven manufacturing.
