Avient Introduces ‘Wilflex Revive’ Sustainable Plastisol Inks For Screen Printing

Avient Corporation, a leading provider of specialized and sustainable materials solutions and services, has officially launched Wilflex Revive bio plastisol inks for the screen printing industry.

With a bio-derived content ranging from 50-59%, Wilflex Revive inks are designed to help screen printers meet their sustainability targets while maintaining the same ease of use as traditional plastisol inks. Tested to ASTM D6866 standards, these inks aim to reduce reliance on fossil fuel-based alternatives. Offering excellent wash durability, a soft hand feel and compatibility with conventional screen printing equipment and processes, they provide an intuitive printing experience.

Jeanette Hardy, Avient Specialty Inks’ Sales Director for EMEA and APAC, expressed excitement about the global launch of Wilflex Revive, stating, “This product is an easy switch for our plastisol customers and can help them meet sustainability goals.” Wilflex Revive inks complement Wilflex’s existing sustainable offerings, such as Wilflex Epic flexible cure inks for reduced energy consumption.

Currently available in base and white variants, Wilflex Revive inks can be seamlessly integrated into the Wilflex Epic PC Express Color Mixing System. This allows for the creation of thousands of Pantone shades using Avient Specialty Inks’ proprietary colour formulation software, IMS 3.0. The software automatically calculates the bio-derived content associated with each Pantone colour.

Wilflex Revive bio plastisol inks will be accessible through Wilflex distributors starting March 2024.
