Axel Wintermeyer To Lead Karl Mayer Warp Knitting Unit
Karl Mayer’s Warp Knitting Business Unit is preparing to showcase its latest innovations at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025, to be held at Singapore Expo. This strategic division now moves forward under the leadership of Axel Wintermeyer, a long-time Karl Mayer executive with nearly three decades of experience at the company.
A qualified textile engineer with business acumen and global exposure, Wintermeyer has held key roles in machinery sales, after-sales service and spare parts. He was instrumental in Karl Mayer’s entry into the Indian market, significantly grew the company’s presence in Korea, and boosted composite machine market share at the Chemnitz subsidiary. As head of spare parts, he transformed it into a key revenue stream and launched a successful web shop integrated with SAP.
Currently, Wintermeyer is driving the development of Care Solutions, Karl Mayer’s next-level after-sales support initiative set for rollout by 2026, aimed at deepening customer engagement and service excellence.
Wintermeyer will represent the Warp Knitting Business Unit at Stand A301 in Hall 5 at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2025, where he looks forward to engaging with customers and partners to shape the future of warp knitting technology.
