Bangladesh Apparel Exports Up 3.45% Between July & January

In the first seven months of fiscal ending June 30, 2024, Bangladeshi apparel exports rose 3.45 per cent from US $27.41 billion in the comparable period of previous fiscal to $28.36 billion.

Among these, exports of knitwear were $16.17 billion between July and January, up 8.15 percent and woven garments were $12.18 billion, which declined 2.20 percent year over year.

In January 2024 alone, garment export earnings amounted to $4.97 billion, showing an increase of 12.45 percent as against a year ago month, as per statistics of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
