BASF To Establish Global Digital Hub In Hyderabad

Multinational chemical major BASF plans to establish a global Digital Hub in Hyderabad by the first quarter of 2026, further strengthening its expanding network of digital centres across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. The new facility is expected to play a key role in reinforcing the company’s global digital backbone and supporting its worldwide operations.
Dirk Elvermann, BASF’s Chief Financial and Digital Officer, said the India-based hub will work in close coordination with the company’s existing Digital Hubs, enabling stronger cross-regional collaboration and faster delivery of digital services across business functions.
The initiative is part of BASF’s broader effort to accelerate value-driven digital transformation. The company is sharpening its focus on digital programmes that deliver measurable impact to core businesses, while also evaluating structural adjustments under its long-term strategy, including workforce optimization measures extending through 2030.
Preparations for the Hyderabad facility are already underway. BASF has begun recruitment through a newly formed entity, BASF Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd, indicating that operational planning for the hub is progressing.
The Digital Hub also aligns with BASF’s long-standing presence in India and reflects the company’s continued commitment to expanding its digital capabilities in the country. By strengthening its technology and service infrastructure, BASF aims to enhance operational efficiency, innovation and global service delivery.
