Bombay Dyeing Steps Up Crackdown On Counterfeits

Bombay Dyeing, one of India’s oldest and most trusted home textile brands, has stepped up its fight against counterfeit products with raids across key markets including Kolkata, Hyderabad, Kerala, and most recently, at a prominent mall in Mumbai. With a legacy spanning over 145 years, the brand continues to uphold its values of trust, innovation, and uncompromising quality.

During the drive, Bombay Dyeing also uncovered misuse of its identity. Counterfeiters have been circulating products using a purple logo, while the brand’s original logo is distinctly blue. To safeguard consumers, the company has urged customers to carefully verify the logo when making purchases.

Highlighting the risks posed by counterfeits, the company stated that such products not only mislead customers by passing off poor-quality goods as originals but also damage the trust that Bombay Dyeing has built over generations. By pursuing these unethical practices, the brand aims to reaffirm its promise of delivering genuine quality and craftsmanship.

“Our dedicated team is working tirelessly to find solutions and fight against counterfeit products,” said Khiroda Jena, CFO of Bombay Dyeing. “This is about more than just protecting our brand – it’s about protecting the faith that millions of families have placed in us. Every household that chooses Bombay Dyeing deserves to experience the true quality and authenticity that define our brand.”

Going forward, Bombay Dyeing plans to strengthen its collaboration with local authorities, retail partners, and industry stakeholders to foster a cleaner and fairer marketplace. Through these efforts, the brand continues to uphold its century-old commitment to trust, timeless design, and superior quality.
