The proposed sale was promoted through flyers advertising Bombay Dyeing bedsheets at heavily discounted prices, including a Buy 1 Get 2 Free offer. After being alerted, the company coordinated with the housing society, resulting in the cancellation of the sale.
The company said it has observed a rise in counterfeit products being marketed through temporary exhibitions and residential society sales. Such products often mislead consumers and do not meet the quality and manufacturing standards associated with the Bombay Dyeing brand.
