Chinese Home Textile Exports Reverse Downward Trend In Aug

Chinese home textile exports were able to reverse the downward trend witnessed in the last few months and turned positive in August 2023.

Home textile exports in August 2023 amounted to US $3.07 billion, up 2.3 percent year-on-year, while in the first eight months of 2023, they stood at $21.46 billion, down 1.5 percent from a year ago period.

From January to August 2023, home textile exports to the US were $6.55 billion, down 7.6 percent year-on-year, while exports to the ASEAN were $2.66 billion, a year over year increase of 9.6 percent.

In the review period, home textile exports to the EU stood at $1.69 billion, down 8 percent when compared to same period of 2022 and exports to Japan were $1.66 billion, down 12.2 percent year on year.

China exports all types of home textile products like tablecloths, bedding products, blankets, towels curtains etc.
