Chinese Technical Textile Export Grows 12.8% Between Jan & Feb
In the first two months of 2024, exports of the technical textiles from China totaled US $6.49 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.8 percent.
“In the same period, imports of technical textiles by China stood at $700 million, declining 10.1 percent over the comparable months of earlier year,” data of Chinese Customs informed.
From January to February 2024, the industrial added value growth rate of the Chinese technical textiles industry turned positive for the first time since the negative growth began in January to February 2023.
The industry economy is off to a good start, with production and sales growth and revenue and profits improving significantly.
According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics in the first two months of ongoing year, the operating income of enterprises above designated size of the technical industrial sector rose 5.7 percent.
In the reporting period, total profits of enterprises above designated size climbed 11.5 percent from a year ago period.
From January to February 2024, the output of nonwovens by enterprises above designated size also increased by 6.2 percent, while output of cord fabric increased 17.1 percent year-on-year.
