Chinese Textile & Garment Imports Down 9.49% In Jan-Sept

In the first nine months of the current year, Chinese textile and garment exports declined to US $223.14 billion, down 9.49 percent as compared to $246.55 billion in the same months of the previous year.

“Of this, textile exports totaled $101.92 billion during the period from January to September 2023, a drop of 10.30 percent as against first nine months of 2022,” Chinese Customs data informed.

Overseas shipments of clothing and garment accessories reached $121.22 billion in the period under review, when compared with $132.88 billion in the similar months of earlier year, a fall of 8.80 percent.
