CHT Germany Named Finalist For German Sustainability Award 2027
CHT Germany GmbH, part of the foundation-owned CHT Group, has been named a finalist for the German Sustainability Award Companies 2027 in the Large Companies category, recognising its efforts to advance sustainability across chemical product development and industrial applications.
The jury highlighted the company’s integration of chemical product development with customers’ industrial processes. Particular recognition was given to PIGMENTURA, its textile dyeing technology using a pad-dry process to reduce water consumption.
The jury also acknowledged CHT’s work on product carbon footprints and its systematic assessment of critical substances.
An internal calculation tool enables the group to assess product carbon footprints during product development, bringing environmental considerations into the process at an early stage. A science-based internal classification system supports the identification of critical substances and their replacement wherever technically and economically feasible.
Together, these measures connect process design, transparency and substance selection with the practical requirements of industrial applications. CHT said the finalist recognition affirms its approach and acknowledges its progress towards a more sustainable chemical industry.
The award ceremony will take place on December 3, 2026, at the Maritim Hotel Düsseldorf, Germany.
