Cotton Inc. Appoints Bev Sylvester As Chief Marketing Officer

Cotton Inc. has appointed Bev Sylvester as Chief Marketing Officer, a newly created role aimed at strengthening the organisation’s marketing strategy and increasing global demand for cotton. She will oversee brand positioning, consumer engagement and global outreach initiatives to reinforce cotton’s relevance in the marketplace.
Sylvester brings more than 20 years of senior-level experience in marketing and brand leadership across apparel, textiles, consumer goods and branded materials. Her expertise includes private label and branded businesses, licensing, e-commerce and integrated global storytelling with mills, manufacturers, brands and retailers.
Most recently, she held a leadership role at Unifi Manufacturing, Inc., where she led global marketing for REPREVE, a branded recycled polyester fibre used by apparel and home brands worldwide. In that position, she worked closely with mills, manufacturers, sourcing teams, designers and retailers, gaining insight into how fibre-level decisions are made across the supply chain.
William Kimbrell, President and CEO of Cotton Inc., said Sylvester’s experience strengthens the organisation’s ability to engage decision-makers and support long-term demand for cotton.
Commenting on her appointment, Sylvester said fibre choice is increasingly influenced by performance, sustainability and supply chain transparency, and she looks forward to working across the value chain to connect cotton’s value proposition with key stakeholders and end users.
Her appointment aligns with Cotton Inc.’s strategy to deepen engagement with mills, manufacturers, brands and retailers while continuing to build consumer demand globally.
