DuPont Global Awards Honour Breakthrough PPE & Emergency Response Innovations

DuPont has announced the global winners of its 2025 DuPont Innovation Awards for Thermal and Mechanical Protection, celebrating breakthrough products in personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency response. This marks the first year the awards were opened globally to innovations using Nomex or Kevlar fabrics, reflecting the rising need for multi-hazard protection.
Held during the A+A show in Düsseldorf, the awards highlighted advances in sustainability, recyclability, electrical hazard protection and firefighter safety, especially amid growing particulate and EV fire risks.
“Bringing together Nomex and Kevlar innovations from all regions for the first time, these award recipients deliver smarter, safer and more sustainable PPE solutions,” said Stephanie Vrakas, Global Market Leader, DuPont Personal Protection.
Entries were judged on performance, design, manufacturing quality and environmental responsibility across four categories: Nomex for Industrial PPE, Kevlar for Industrial PPE, Nomex Fabrics, and Emergency Response.
Winners in Nomex for Industrial PPE included Groupe Mulliez-Flory’s multi-hazard Phenix protective clothing with EcoForce finish; Iturri SA’s Nomex Recycled garments with 30% recycled content; İşmont Tekstil’s Weldforce Welding Suit and SureWerx’s ultra-light 40 Cal LAN Series Arc Flash Suit.
Kevlar for Industrial PPE winners featured high-performance gloves from Ejendals (TEGERA welding gloves), Escorts Advanced Textiles (Kevlar SoftShield A9 liner), and PIP Global Safety (G-Tek Paradox cut-resistant gloves), along with S.E.R.B. Regain Perform’s flame-resistant, antistatic protective sleeve.
