DuPont Launches Tyvek APX Protective Fabric In ASEAN Market

DuPont has launched its next-generation Tyvek APX protective fabric in the ASEAN market at Thailand Safe@Work 2026 in Bangkok, introducing an advanced material designed to deliver enhanced breathability without compromising protection or durability.

Developed through scientific research and customer collaboration, Tyvek APX is engineered to improve worker comfort by allowing greater airflow and moisture escape, while maintaining the protective performance expected from Tyvek garments.

“With the launch of Tyvek APX, we’ve created a new and revolutionary form of Tyvek material that addresses one of the most significant health and safety challenges making garments more breathable without sacrificing performance or durability,” said Dave Kee, Global Business Director, DuPont Personal Protection.

The company said the new fabric is particularly suited for workers in pharmaceuticals, utilities, heavy manufacturing and chemical processing, where protective clothing is worn for extended periods in demanding environments.

According to DuPont, an independent physiological study conducted by Empa validated the fabric’s enhanced breathability by measuring workers’ physiological responses under varying temperatures and activity levels. The company also carried out global customer wear trials involving nearly 300 participants, with results showing a clear preference for Tyvek APX over conventional protective garments.

“For over 50 years, the DuPont Tyvek brand is recognized in defining the category of protective clothing. It’s synonymous with safety and trusted innovation,” said Kee. “Now, we’re taking that legacy to a new level with Tyvek APX, redefining what it means to feel safe and protected.”
