Egypt Courts Turkish Investment In Garments And Textiles

The Egyptian Commercial Service (ECS) in Istanbul is intensifying efforts to attract Turkish investment in ready-made garments, textiles, and supporting industries to boost Egypt’s industrial ecosystem and exports.
Egypt’s Consul General in Istanbul, Ali Basha, and Deputy Consul Hoda Dorra met with the Turkish Association of Clothing Accessories Manufacturers and member companies to showcase Egypt’s garments sector, expansion plans, and incentives for investors, including tax breaks, streamlined licensing, and preferential access to industrial zones.
The meeting concluded with plans for a Turkish delegation to visit Egypt in Q4 2025 to explore investment opportunities and assess new factories for domestic and export markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
Abdel Aziz El-Sherif, Head of ECS, noted Türkiye ranks second globally in clothing accessories production, with nearly 1,000 companies. Turkish investments in Egypt, totaling around $4 billion, are a cornerstone of bilateral industrial cooperation. Both countries aim to expand trade, investment, and sustainable, export-oriented manufacturing.
