Gartex Texprocess India Opens In Mumbai

Gartex Texprocess India Mumbai 2026 opened in Mumbai today, bringing together industry leaders and technology providers to showcase the latest advancements in apparel manufacturing and textile technologies.

The exhibition comes at a time when India’s textile sector continues to grow steadily, with exports nearing US$ 36 billion and a Vision 2030 target of US$ 100 billion. Industry platforms such as Gartex Texprocess India are playing a key role in driving technology adoption, collaboration and business opportunities across the value chain.

The event was inaugurated in the presence Ajay Pandit, Additional Textile Commissioner, Office of the Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India as the guest of honour.

This year’s edition features product launches, live demonstrations and technology showcases across garment machinery, embroidery, finishing, printing and advanced textile solutions, offering hands-on insights for industry stakeholders.

India’s textile industry, backed by strong policy support and rising global demand, is undergoing a phase of transformation driven by innovation, sustainability and digitalisation. The sector remains a key pillar of the economy, supported by initiatives such as the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme and increased focus in the Union Budget 2026–27.

According to IMARC Group, India’s textile manufacturing market, valued at US$ 133.6 billion in 2025, is projected to reach US$ 192 billion by 2034, growing at a CAGR of 3.99%.

Alongside the exhibition, knowledge sessions will cover themes such as automation, sustainability, digital printing and evolving fashion supply chains, reinforcing the event’s role as a platform for innovation, networking and industry growth.
