Ginni Filaments Q1 Profit Rises 25%; Approves Subsidiary In South Africa

Ginni Filaments Ltd reported improved profitability for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, while also approving the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary in South Africa to strengthen its consumer products business.
The company recorded revenue from operations of Rs 102.89 crore during Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 101.54 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Net profit increased to Rs 9.05 crore from Rs 7.13 crore in the previous quarter and Rs 10.61 crore in Q1 FY26. Profit before tax stood at Rs 12.30 crore.
Textiles remained the company’s largest business segment, contributing Rs 68.16 crore in revenue, while the consumer products segment generated Rs 58.02 crore during the quarter.
The board approved the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary, proposed to be named Ginni RSA (Pty) Ltd, in the Republic of South Africa. The new entity will focus on the manufacturing, converting, trading, marketing and distribution of wet wipes and allied consumer products. Ginni Filaments plans an initial investment of up to Rs 10 crore and will hold 100 per cent equity in the venture.
The company also approved the continuation of Managing Director Shishir Jaipuria beyond the age of 70 years, subject to shareholder approval, and re-appointed Suresh Singhvi as Whole-Time Director (Finance) and CFO for a further one-year term beginning August 1, 2026.
