Gujarat Clears Rs 1,567 Cr Industrial Incentives, 1,238 Jobs Expected

Gujarat has approved incentive assistance for 15 industrial projects with a combined investment of Rs 1,567.18 crore under the Incentive to Industries Scheme of the Industrial Policy 2015. The projects are expected to generate around 1,238 direct employment opportunities.

The approvals were granted at a meeting of the committee responsible for issuing Final Eligibility Certificates to large industrial units under the scheme. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chief Minister and Industries Minister Harsh Sanghavi.

Officials said the scheme provides Net SGST-linked incentive support to eligible industries establishing operations in Gujarat, with the objective of promoting manufacturing, technological development, and large-scale industrial investment.

According to official data, the scheme has so far attracted cumulative investments of Rs 1,48,336.35 crore and facilitated nearly 1,65,053 direct jobs in the state. It has also supported the growth of MSMEs and strengthened the broader industrial ecosystem.

Among the latest approvals, the largest investment was recorded in the chemical sector in Bharuch district at Rs 999.82 crore. In the automobile sector, projects worth Rs 75.72 crore in Ahmedabad and Rs 44.56 crore in Surendranagar were cleared. A textile project worth Rs 13 crore in Gandhinagar was also approved for incentive support.
