Heberlein’s Textile Technology Centre Sets Industry Benchmark

Heberlein continues to lead the way in air interlacing and air texturing solutions with world-class facilities and unmatched technical support.

As Heberlein approaches its 190th anniversary in 2025, the company proudly showcases one of its greatest assets: the Textile Technology Centre. A innovative facility equipped with the latest textile machinery and a team of seasoned experts, the Centre reflects Heberlein’s long-standing commitment to innovation, quality, and customer partnership.

Decades of Experience, One Mission: Customer Success
With over 150 years of combined experience, Head of Textile Technology Samuel Gerber and his team provide hands-on guidance to clients navigating the challenges of synthetic continuous filament yarn production. “We are the competent partner for yarn producers, especially when resources are limited or expertise is lacking,” says Gerber, who has led the Centre since 2020.

From replicating yarns from a single sample to optimizing production efficiency, Heberlein’s specialists thrive on solving complex technical problems. “We won’t stop until we find a way to make exactly the same yarn or a very close alternative as profitably as possible,” Gerber emphasizes.

Tailored Trials, Tangible Results
A key differentiator for Heberlein is its on-site support. Service technicians equipped with test jets conduct live trials in customer spinning mills, ensuring optimal jet selection. Whether the goal is to reduce air and energy consumption or improve yarn properties like knot density or uniformity, the results speak for themselves.

This approach not only enhances product quality but also supports sustainable and cost-effective production, further strengthening customer relationships.

Fueling Innovation Together
At the heart of Heberlein’s value proposition lies collaborative innovation. The Textile Technology Centre provides a controlled environment where customers test new ideas, simulate real-world conditions, and refine product specifications. “For example, our recent trials with Ape, our latest DTY series  achieved significant air savings, demonstrating the power of joint development,” Gerber notes.

An Open Door to Expertise
Customers are welcome to attend trials at the Centre, gaining firsthand insights into air interlacing, air covering, and air texturizing techniques. Heberlein also offers detailed yarn testing reports, recommended machine settings, and even sample bobbins or fabrics, empowering customers to apply improvements confidently in their own mills.

A Heritage of Technical Excellence
Heberlein’s dedication to customer support is deeply rooted in its history. Since 1950, the company has offered expert advice as an integral part of its service. Today, technical workshops, troubleshooting, and personalized consulting continue to define the Heberlein experience.

“We support everyone from loyal customers to industry professionals facing challenges in ATY, DTY, AC, DSY or spinning,” says Gerber. “Our competencies in air-based technologies are unmatched.”

As the textile industry evolves, Heberlein remains a trusted partner not just for its cutting-edge products, but for the deep technical care and collaborative spirit that has defined the company for nearly two centuries.
