Hyosung Innovative Textile Solutions Developed To Meet 2026 Swimwear Trends

Hyosung’s Fashion Design Center (FDC) has identified well-being, sports tourism, and sustainability as the primary forces shaping swimwear trends for Spring/Summer 2026. With consumers increasingly prioritizing self-care, active travel and eco-conscious choices, the demand for versatile, high-performance swimwear made from sustainable materials is on the rise. Hyosung, the world’s largest producer of elastane by market share, is meeting this demand with its innovative portfolio of textile solutions, including its CREORA and regen product lines.

Hyosung’s regen Elastane, a 100% recycled, RCS-certified fibre derived from reclaimed elastane manufacturing waste, is being adopted by leading swimwear brands. Panache will introduce five new ranges using 100% recycled PalmTree fabric made with regen Elastane. Speedo has launched the Lookout Volley 16”, its first fully recycled four-way stretch board short for men, also featuring regen Elastane. Yamamay’s Basic Essential collection will incorporate FishTale, a new-generation fabric co-developed with Hung Yen Knitting & Dyeing Co., Ltd., using post-consumer recycled regen Ocean nylon partially sourced from discarded fishing nets and 100% recycled regen Elastane to support a circular economy model.
