Indo Count Expands Utility Bedding With Modern Home Textiles Acquisition
Indo Count Industries Ltd., the world’s largest bed linen manufacturer, has announced a major expansion in its Utility Bedding segment with the acquisition of two key U.S.-based companies.
Indo Count Global, Inc. (ICG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indo Count Industries, has acquired Modern Home Textiles, Inc., a manufacturer of pillows and other filled products. Modern Home Textiles operates a facility in Phoenix, Arizona, with an annual production capacity of 8 million pillows.
This acquisition follows ICG’s majority stake purchase last month in Fluvitex USA, Inc., a pillow and quilt manufacturing company located in Columbus, Ohio. Fluvitex has the capacity to produce 5 million pillows and 1.5 million quilts annually. These back-to-back acquisitions mark a significant move toward establishing an integrated utility bedding business to serve the North American market.
With facilities strategically located in the Midwest and West Coast, ICG is well-positioned to enhance its distribution network for both existing and prospective customers.
Anil Kumar Jain, Executive Chairman of Indo Count, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Modern Home Textiles to the Indo Count family. This strategic move will not only accelerate our growth in the Utility Bedding segment but also significantly expand our capabilities and market reach. Modern Home Textiles brings innovative, sustainable solutions, enabling us to serve our customers better and strengthen our presence in the U.S. market. Additionally, this acquisition aligns with our long-standing goal of creating job opportunities in the United States.”
With these acquisitions, Indo Count’s total U.S. manufacturing capacity will reach 13 million pillows and 1.5 million quilts annually. The combined operations are projected to generate over USD 85 million in revenue at full capacity.
Importantly, the customer bases of Fluvitex and Modern Home Textiles are non-overlapping, providing a strong platform for future growth. These investments are part of Indo Count Global’s broader strategy to build significant capacity in pillow manufacturing, catering to the utility bedding market across North America.
