Indo Texnology Unveils Improved Version Of Bobbin Sorter

Indo Texnology which introduced Sortlink, India’s first cop sorter or bobbin sorter has launched a better and improved version of bobbin sorter called Sortlink Magic.

“Sortlink Magic was introduced to resolve limitations and pain points faced by spinning mills in bobbin segregation with the Sortlink,” Indo Texnology said in a press release.

Sortlink is an attachment for magazine-type autowinders and efficiently segregates bobbins based on colour, remnant yarn, and full bobbins ejected from the autowinder.

According to the Coimbatore based company, Sortlink Magic has the ability to detect even the subtlest shade differences between old and new bobbins, ensuring their sorting into the same bin or trolley.

“This is particularly valuable for spinning mills manufacturing melange yarn, which often involves a wide range of similar colours,” the Coimbatore based company added.

It is common for workers to remove remnant yarn using knives or sharp objects, resulting in visible scratch marks on the bobbins. Sortlink Magic also effectively distinguishes scratched bobbins from remnant yarn bobbins and addresses this challenge with precision.

Sortlink Magic is specifically designed to attach to autowinders without requiring additional space in the winding section, a feature invaluable for mills dealing with space limitations.

The cop sorter boasts minimal moving parts, making maintenance easy and cost-effective and its remote diagnostics capability allows its technicians to provide instant support without need for on-site visit.

Sortlink Magic generates comprehensive reports categorizing ejected bobbins by color, remnant yarn, and full bobbins thereby offering crucial insights for optimising mill operations.

“What sets Sortlink Magic apart is its integration of camera technology and artificial intelligence as both differentiate bobbins with unparalleled accuracy, akin to human eyes,” Indo Texnology said.

Till date, Sortlink has over 2,000 installations in renowned spinning mills across textile hubs of India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
