Indorama Ventures Centralizes European Filament Yarn Production In Italy
Indorama Ventures, a global leader in petrochemicals and polyester fibres, is consolidating its high-performance polyester filament yarn production for the European textile industry in Italy, west of Milan. The company is transferring its German production and centralizing spinning, draw texturizing and dyeing operations at its facilities in Sandigliano and Saluzzo.
This strategic move is part of Indorama Ventures’ plan to optimize its global asset network and better serve volatile markets. European textile filament customers will benefit from a reliable supply of high-quality, coloured, spun and package-dyed yarns, with applications ranging from apparel and home textiles to automotive interiors and woven labels.
“European customers value our local expertise but also demand cost competitiveness,” said Vipin Kumar, Chief Operating Officer of Indorama Ventures’ fibres business. “By consolidating our capabilities, we can efficiently provide specialized, high-quality products and services.”
Twisting and air texturizing processes will continue to be handled at the company’s facility in Bulgaria.
