Uzbekistan stands out as one of the world’s largest cotton producers and exporters, with its textile industry playing a crucial role in the national economy. The abundant availability of raw materials and low production costs create favorable conditions for the local industry’s growth. Upgrading the installed equipment is a vital step in achieving this potential.
Italian textile technology is highly regarded by Uzbek textile companies. In 2023, Italian machinery sales to Uzbekistan reached 21 million euros. The most sought-after Italian machines by Uzbek firms include weaving machines (accounting for 32% of total 2023 Italian exports), followed by finishing machines (30%), spinning machines (17%), knitting machines (14%), and accessories (7%).
At CAITME 2024, Italian exhibitors will present the latest advancements in textile technology, offering solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and promote sustainability in the textile sector.
