Ion Exchange (India) Partners With TERI For TADOX Wastewater Tech
Ion Exchange (India) Ltd has announced its partnership with TERI – The Energy and Resources Institute through the signing of a TADOX® Technology and Trademark License Agreement (TTLA). This collaboration aims to commercialize TERI’s patented TADOX wastewater treatment technology for industrial applications.
Expressing enthusiasm about the partnership, Aankur Patni, Executive Director of Ion Exchange (India) Ltd said, “We are excited about the partnership and looking forward to applying this technology as a cost-effective solution in the markets we serve through a collaborative approach with an institute of repute like TERI.”
Ajay Popat, President of Ion Exchange (India) Ltd, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the potential of the TADOX technology in enhancing the life cycle cost of their affordable treatment, recycle and ZLD (Zero Liquid Discharge) solutions for industrial effluents. He highlighted the significance of addressing complex wastewater challenges and expressed eagerness to maximize the technology’s impact with their customers.
The signing ceremony, held in the presence of dignitaries including G. Asok Kumar, Director General, NMCG – TERI Centre of Excellence on Water Reuse, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Dr Vibha Dhawan, Director General, and Dr Nupur Bahadur, Associate Director, both from TERI, marked a significant milestone in advancing sustainable wastewater treatment solutions.
TADOX technology utilizes UV-Photocatalysis as an Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP), enabling the oxidative degradation and mineralization of targeted pollutants. This innovative approach results in the removal of colour and dissolved organics in wastewater streams, addressing critical environmental challenges.
