Italian Yarn Producer Marchi & Fildi Reduces Water Use By 57%

Italian yarn manufacturer Marchi & Fildi, among various sustainable measures has been able to reduce water consumption by 57 percent in 2022 as against 2021 and waste water by 19 percent.

In the sustainability report for 2022, the yarn manufacturer reported a drop of electric power consumption by 13 percent in 2022 over 2021 and CO2 emissions fell 22 percent year on year.

“The decision to draft a Sustainability Report guides us towards the constant improvement of company performance with reference to ESG,” Massimo Marchi, Marchi & Fildi’s President said.

“This is one of the stages towards the formalisation of a strategic plan for the management of sustainability, a journey which the group has been committed to for years,” he added.
