KPR Mill Expanding Fabric Processing & Solar Power Capacities

KP Ramasamy led KPR Mill is expanding its fabric processing capacity and also increasing its solar power generation capabilities.

KPR Mill has planned an expansion of the processing capacity from 25,000 to 37,000 metric tons per annum at an investment of Rs. 250 crores and is expected be on stream within one year.

The Coimbatore based group is expanding capacity to meet the rising demand for processed fabrics, due to the increased garment production capacity.

At the same time, the company is also modernising its existing fabrics processing machinery to upgrade its capabilities and efficiency at an investment of Rs 50 crores.

Additionally, KPR Group is also augmenting its rooftop solar power generation capacity from 12 MW to 37 MW at an investment of Rs. 100 crores.

With this expansion, KPR’s green power capacity will reach 100 MW, encompassing both wind and solar power sources, thereby allowing a substantial portion of its electricity need to be met through renewable sources.
