Kumaraguru College Receives Advanced Rieter Spinning Machine For Students’ Training
The Department of Textile Technology at Kumaraguru College of Technology organized a handover ceremony for the Rieter R923 Rotor Spinning Machine on July 22, 2024 at KCT college campus.
The R923 Rotor Spinning Machine, generously sponsored by Rieter Group, Switzerland, is valued at Rs 40 lakh. This state-of-the-art machine will significantly enhance the department’s research and practical training capabilities. This advanced machine will provide students with hands-on experience in modern textile technology, preparing them better for the future and raising the level of the industry.
Prasanta Deka, Country Manager Director, Rieter India Ltd, was the chief guest of the ceremony. The other guest of honour were, K.S. Karunakaran, Area Sales Head-South and P. Karnan, Regional Sales Manager of Rieter India Ltd.
The ceremony began with a welcome address, followed by speeches from distinguished guests who emphasized the importance of industry-academia collaboration and the impact of advanced technology on textile education.
