Lenzing AG Announces Changes In Supervisory Board Leadership

Lenzing AG has announced changes to its Supervisory Board leadership ahead of its 81st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 17, 2025. Cord Prinzhorn, the current Supervisory Board Chairman, will step down at the end of his mandate to focus on other commitments within B&C Group.

Patrick Lackenbucher, Managing Director of B&C Group, has been nominated for election as a new member of the Supervisory Board and is set to assume the role of Chairman on an interim basis following the AGM. Lackenbucher brings over 15 years of strategic and financial experience with Lenzing, having supported the company through key investment and restructuring projects.

Additionally, Leonardo Grimaldi, Executive Vice President of Suzano S/A, will join the Supervisory Board, succeeding Marcelo Bacci. Grimaldi, an expert in the global pulp market, also serves as Chairman of Brazilian port operator Portocel and as a Supervisory Board member at Veracel Celulose S/A.

Cord Prinzhorn expressed his gratitude to the Lenzing team, highlighting the company’s success in completing strategic investment projects in Brazil, Thailand and China, while reducing costs and financial debt. Rohit Aggarwal, CEO of Lenzing AG, thanked Prinzhorn for his leadership and welcomed Lackenbucher’s appointment, citing his extensive industry knowledge and strategic expertise.

The formal election of Patrick Lackenbucher as Supervisory Board Chairman is scheduled for the constituting Supervisory Board meeting following the AGM.
