CMAI And Chhattisgarh Govt Sign MoU To Boost Textile Sector In Raipur

The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) has signed an MoU with the Chhattisgarh Government to establish a Textile & Apparel Facilitation Centre in Raipur, in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, during the FAB Show 2025 in Mumbai.
This strategic partnership aims to boost textile investments, support MSMEs, generate employment, and enhance Chhattisgarh’s role as a key apparel manufacturing hub.
Key MoU highlights:
- Setting up a CMAI office in Raipur
- Promoting Chhattisgarh’s industrial policy
- Linking local manufacturers with national markets
Shri Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized the state’s focus on ‘Viksit Chhattisgarh’, citing ongoing initiatives like the Rs 271 crore NIFT Raipur campus and special incentives for job-creating industries.
CMAI President Santosh Katariya stated, “Chhattisgarh has the potential to be a major player in India’s textile ecosystem. This collaboration will unlock growth and employment across the region.”
Chhattisgarh participated as a State Partner at FAB Show 2025, showcasing its pro-business approach under the Chhattisgarh Business Made Easy initiative.
