Long-Staple Spindles 2022 Shipments Record Terrific Growth
Deliveries of new textile machinery in 2022 declined in most segments, except in the spinning segment.
However, global shipments of new long-staple spindles recorded terrific growth at 195 percent, open-end rotors rose 85 percent, while short-staple spindles grew slower at 27 per cent, all from a year ago period.
Global deliveries of draw-texturing spindles declined 13 percent in 2022 and that of shuttle-less looms dropped 23 percent, of large circular knitting machines fell 27 percent, while shipments of flat knitting machines reduced 24 percent, all over 2021.
“The sum of all deliveries in the finishing segment too plummeted 28 percent on average in 2022 over 2021,” the 45th annual International Textile Machinery Shipment Statistics (ITMSS) released by the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) informed.
The report covers six segments of textile machinery, namely spinning, draw-texturing, weaving, large circular knitting, flat knitting, and finishing.
According to ITMF, the 2022 survey has been compiled in cooperation with more than 200 textile machinery manufacturers representing a comprehensive measure of world production.
