Ministry Of Textiles Engages Foreign Missions To Promote Bharat Tex 2025
The Ministry of Textiles hosted an interactive session with over 30 foreign missions at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan to promote Bharat Tex 2025, scheduled for February 14-17, 2025. Representatives from countries such as Australia, Brazil, Italy, Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam participated in the event.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Shri Pabitra Margherita, invited global stakeholders to join Bharat Tex 2025, describing it as the largest textile event ever, showcasing the entire textile value chain. Highlighting India’s innovation and sustainability focus, he emphasized the sector’s employment potential and alignment with the Prime Minister’s 5F vision—Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign.
Rachna Shah, Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, called for partner country participation and outlined policy initiatives like PLI and PM-MITRA supporting the sector.
Bharat Tex 2025: A Global Textile Showcase
Co-organized by Textile Export Promotion Councils and supported by the Ministry of Textiles, the event will take place across two venues: Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, and India Expo Centre, Greater Noida. It will feature over 5,000 exhibitors, 6,000 international buyers, and 120,000 visitors.
This edition will focus on resilient global value chains and sustainability, featuring pavilions for apparel, technical textiles, home furnishings, machinery, and more. The event will also host B2B, G2G meetings, CEO roundtables, and cultural shows, providing a platform for global collaboration.
Bharat Tex 2025 aims to solidify India’s position as a sustainable, innovative textile hub and a key global sourcing destination.
