Zydex Unveils Eco-Friendly Solutions, Gains Attention At Knit Show
Zydex Industries made a significant impact at the prestigious Knit Show 2024 in Tiruppur, where it unveiled its latest innovations in textile processing, finishing, and printing. The event, a key platform for the Tiruppur textile cluster, received an overwhelming response from visitors, customers, and business associates, reflecting the growing interest in Zydex’s innovative solutions.
The centerpiece of Zydex’s showcase was its collection of eco-friendly and sustainable solutions, with a particular emphasis on garment printing. The company’s water-based inks, designed for garment printing, drew significant attention for their high quality and excellent washing durability. Another highlight was the Epricon printing system, which reduces energy and water consumption by 15-17% compared to the reactive printing process. Zydex has been acknowledged as an innovator in creating sustainable impact by the Apparel Impact Institute (AII). The displayed fabrics included a collection of Zycrobial (silver-free and non-leaching), pigment-dyed swatches of Zycol pigments, and soft pigment-printed samples—all innovations from Zydex.
Dr. Ajay Ranka, CMD of Zydex, was in Coimbatore to address the Cotton Federation of India, a body consisting of top decision-makers in the country’s cotton industry. He shared Zydex’s new innovation, the ‘Prakalp Sanjivani’ initiative, which enables a switch to chemical-free, organic cotton without compromising yield during crop transition. This initiative directly impacts the textile industry, which is moving toward traceability at all stages, from ginning to garment production, enabling traceability one step backward from the farm stage. It also empowers farmers to achieve good cotton yields while conserving water. This holistic approach addresses environmental concerns and supports the livelihoods of farming communities.
