NILIT And Shenma Industry Form Strategic JV In China
NILIT, the foremost provider of high-performance Nylon 6.6 fibres for the apparel industry, and Shenma Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Pingmei Shenma Group and a leader in the industrial Nylon 6.6 market, have announced the establishment of a strategic joint venture. This partnership marks a significant milestone in expanding production capacity and fostering innovation within China, highlighting both companies’ commitment to serving global customers and advancing sustainability in the textile industry.
“We are delighted to introduce this new greenfield joint venture with Shenma in China, aimed at bringing cutting-edge technologies to the local market,” stated Ilan Melamed, NILIT Global General Manager. “This collaboration will produce premium specialized products in Fully Drawn Yarns (FDY) and Air Textured Yarns (ATY), renowned for their strength, smoothness and softness, respectively. These offerings will cater to diverse sectors including home textiles and automotive industries, where quality and durability are paramount.”
The joint venture will establish a state-of-the-art production facility in Pingdingshan, China’s Nylon City, constructed to meet NILIT’s rigorous Total Product Sustainability (TPS) standards for environmentally responsible manufacturing. Initial projections indicate a production capacity of 20,000 tonnes within the next few years.
