Oerlikon Manmade Fiber Technicians Install Plants 50% Faster

Oerlikon Manmade Fibers technicians have been able to assemble and install a complete meltblown system at a US based BCF manufacturer, 50 percent faster than usual.

According to an Oerlikon press release, their technicians assembled the US plant within 10 weeks as against installation times of up to 22 weeks, when installed with locally provided personnel.

“In the case of meltblown systems, this amounts to an average time saving of 50 percent. The BCF US manufacturer was able to start production a good four weeks earlier,” the company added.

The decisive advantage for customers is that, with the respective site manager, they have one contact person for the entire project.

This includes not only the scope of delivery from Oerlikon, but also the components from other suppliers that are part of the project.

“We go to the construction site as a well-coordinated team, which means there are significantly fewer frictional losses,” Ingo Lobinsky, Head of Start-up Services at Oerlikon Neumag said.

“This shortens the installation time considerably. Furthermore, we guarantee a fixed date for the start of production,” he added.

The company also offers the complete assembly service for the filament spinning and staple fiber production processes.
