Oerlikon Neumag Showcases Full Nonwovens Process Chain At Customer Event

Oerlikon Neumag, along with eight partner companies, hosted a successful two-day event on July 2–3 at its Neumünster Technology Center, offering a comprehensive view of innovations across the nonwovens manufacturing value chain.

Around 50 invited guests from the nonwovens industry attended technical presentations and live demonstrations of advanced spunbond and meltblown technologies. Key highlights included the patented, award-winning water atomization process for producing charged meltblown nonwovens using PLA, and demonstrations of BiCo PET/CoPET and PP spunbond processes for geotextiles.

Eight partner companies contributed their expertise across the process chain. Weko showcased spin finish applications, Dilo presented needling technology, Brückner covered thermoprocessing, and Mahlo introduced online measurement systems. Oerlikon Barmag highlighted its versatile pump technologies, while TotalEnergies Corbion presented on Luminy® PLA as a sustainable raw material.

Somatec explored advancements in winding solutions, and Comerio Ercole unveiled innovations in calendering.

“We aim to provide integrated solutions tailored to the entire value chain, not just standalone technologies,” said Andreas Frisch, alongside Ingo Mählmann, both responsible for the nonwovens business unit. “Seeing the technologies live enables a better understanding of how our systems work in synergy.”
