OnceMore Partners TextileGenesis For MMCF Traceability

OnceMore, the large-scale textile-to-pulp recycling initiative by Södra, has partnered with TextileGenesis, a Lectra company, to implement end-to-end traceability across its man-made cellulosic fibres (MMCF) value chain.

OnceMore recognized for recycling blended textile waste into high-quality dissolving pulp, will integrate TextileGenesis’ digital platform to enable verified tracking from raw materials through to finished garments. The pulp is produced using a mix of textile waste and wood sourced from responsibly managed Swedish forests, reinforcing its circularity credentials.

The integration marks a significant step toward scaling circular MMCF by establishing a fully verified digital chain of custody. The system will unify material movement and supply chain data into a single platform, enhancing transparency across multiple tiers and geographies while increasing supplier participation.

A key component of the rollout is TextileGenesis’ Fibercoin technology, which assigns digital tokens to material volumes at each stage of production. This creates a secure and traceable digital footprint, replacing fragmented documentation with a standardized, verifiable system. The move is expected to strengthen recycled-content claims and support product-level disclosures, particularly as companies prepare for regulatory frameworks such as the EU’s Digital Product Passport (DPP).

“Traceability across the value chain relies on reliable data and clear documentation,” said Tina Lemke, Marketing & Brand Experience Manager at OnceMore, noting that the integration will provide customers with verified insights into material flows at every stage.

Supply chain partners of OnceMore are being onboarded onto the platform through a structured implementation process, enabling consistent data capture and improved visibility into material flows.

Amit Gautam, Founder and CEO of TextileGenesis, said the collaboration demonstrates how traceability can be operationalized at scale. He added that embedding traceability into material transactions will help build the data infrastructure required for regulatory compliance, brand accountability and credible circularity claims.
